Hi! I'm Angela

I'm Angela, and if there's one thing I want you to know about me, it's that I love Jesus.

Not because I've always gotten everything right or because I have all the answers. But because somewhere along the way, I began to understand just how much He loves me.

And once that really clicked, there was no turning back.

I owe Him everything. And more than anything, I want others to know Him the way I've come to know Him.

A Turning Point

The Moment Everything Changed

For years, I was what you might call an "undercover Christian." I attended church, prayed, and even taught Sunday School. But I rarely talked to anyone about Jesus.

Then, in 1993, my mother became seriously ill. As our family faced the possibility of losing her, I came to a heartbreaking realization: I didn't even know whether my own mother was saved. And despite teaching others about Jesus, I had never shared the gospel with her.

Late one night, I called my pastor from a hospital pay phone. He came, prayed with my mother, and led her to Christ. Less than a year later, she went to meet Him.

That experience changed me forever.

I began studying God's Word with a new hunger and sharing Jesus with anyone who would listen. My school became my mission field, and I started a Christian club that met every Wednesday morning for more than twenty years, from 1994 to 2018, when I retired.

There was a shift in me; I had become a disciple.

A Little More About Me

For 31 years, I had the privilege of teaching in the classroom. Although I retired from education in 2018, I never really stopped teaching!

These days, you'll find me writing, studying Scripture, leading worship, teaching Bible studies, and creating resources to help people grow in their faith.

I've served in ministry for decades, and one thing hasn't changed: I love seeing that moment when someone discovers something in God's Word that suddenly makes sense—and begins to change the way they live.

I'm also an author, but writing books was never simply about becoming an author. It was about sharing what God was teaching me and encouraging others to go deeper with Him.

Heart & Purpose

Why I Do What I Do

Deep End Discipleship and my book Drowning in the Shallows grew out of a conviction that following Jesus is about so much more than attending church, knowing Scripture, or going through the motions.

It's about knowing Him personally, growing in His Word, and allowing His love to transform every part of our lives.

I'm still learning. Still growing. Still discovering just how deep His love really is.

But I know one thing for certain: Jesus is worth everything.

And if something I write, teach, or share helps even one person know Him more deeply, then it's worth doing.

Going deeper in faith. Growing stronger in Christ. Living differently.
